Re: 12:30pm March 31st (Southampton game) - Stratford Park - Olympic Park
I don't see how a few hundred old geezers walking together through the wasteland of the Olympic park is going to help matters.

I'm pretty sure that the scum who own and ru(i)n the club have got the message that they're strongly disliked by many West Ham fans. If they haven't, a march isn't going to change things. It's certainly not going to get us a new home or brilliant team any time soon.

The only thing that matters right now is that the club doesn't get relegated again, and any more demonstrating against SGB will not help in that aim.

Forget this gormless 'organised' walk. Just walk to the ground and truly support the team.

The time for demo's will be when we're safe (odds of 1/3) or when we're down (5/2)

You do know what virtue signalling means don't you Willtell? Only, I suspect you do not as it's not something I've ever indulged in, but you carry on you strange midlife crisis oddball.

"Shifted"?

Am I the only one with "an old war wound" that plays up every now and again preventing me moving until the pain dies down?

I though we all had one.

Bore

all very clever apart from that you missed the fact that anyone congregating there would not be in the seat they are supposed to remain in, or sitting at all therefore can easily be shifted under public safety

Re: 12:30pm March 31st (Southampton game) - Stratford Park - Olympic Park
As a follow up to Cool Hand Lukes explanation,
Under Article 11 of the European Convention of Human Rights, everybody has the right to freedom of Assembly and Association in a public place. No restriction should be placed upon these rights except for protection of national security or public safety, prevention of crime or disorder or to protect the rights or freedom of others.
A public place under the Criminal Justice Act 1972 is deemed to be any highway or other premises to which the public have access, whether paid or otherwise.
What this means is by law no matter that GSB are putting up barriers in front of the directors box, a group of law-abiding people are entitled to demonstrate there and we should use the police to make this happen.

Eggy - The OB are going to be there anyway - if it's anything like before the Burnley game, the police will tell us when they're ready for us to stroll to the Stadium and will try and keep us all together.

CHL

at which point no doubt the OB will turn up and start holding some back to split it into smaller groups

Jim79...

If you assemble and MARCH, it is a notifiable event and has to be cleared via the police / council / everyone and his fucking dog...

If you assemble with NO march it is purely a STATIC event and is not notifiable i.e. they can all piss and moan about it but unless you cause affray or stop traffic it is not 'preventable' by any legislation.

In the case of Stratford Park, (just for example, natch), actually, we could 'get away with both' anyway, as we could set up as a static event, after which we will all need to 'stroll to the stadium' (as we do any other time, of course...). Yeah?

Can someone tell me what a fucking static protest is?

COOL HAND LUKE 1:43 Thu Mar 29
Re: 12:30pm March 31st (Southampton game) - Stratford Park - Olympic Park
But it is so... too much silly bollocks and politics, when all people want to do is make a 'protest' (however raunchy or peaceful) against the board.

We are all 'united' by our passion and support for WHU. THAT is what it is about; it's not about if we all have the exact same politics / sexual preferences / like the same flavour crisps / whatever etc...

Let's be honest here... the original march got canned unceremoniously, and 'politics' (most notably the ridiculous 'demonising' of whuisa) got thrown on the table to 'justify' it. That is all that happened, and now the same nonsense is being perpetuated, as the same people piss and moan about "who has the right to represent the fans" - NOBODY has that right, and EVERYBODY has that right; we are all individuals, we always were, and all those differences MUST stay totally in the background on the days / times we are simply 'supporting our club'.

"WE are representing the fans, not YOU!"

"No you're not, you cancelled the last meeting under dodgy circumstances..."

"No we didn't - YOU just want it to yourselves for political reasons."

"Politics doesn't come into it, those things have to be put aside when we put our WHU hats on."

"WE started it, WE are in dialogue with the club."

"Are you? Not what Brady said..."

"What did you say?! Come outside...!"

Fuck me sideways... is this REALLY the best we can do collectively, fellas?????

We are beating ourselves with this shit.

this is separate to the other one at 1 at Stratford station?

Re: 12:30pm March 31st (Southampton game) - Stratford Park - Olympic Park
Yeah just to be clear, this event is not affiliated in any way with any groups.

Let's build on the 200 that walked together before the Burnley game.

12:30 at Stratford Park - see you there!

You could easily confuse things even more by going on this "walk" but wearing a black shirt.
